Preparation, characterization and antibacterial applications of ZnAl- LDH with the diaminododecylphosphonic acid intercalation

Layered double hydroxides (LDHs) have been widely investigated in a wide range of applications health, the pharmaceutical industry and material biotechnology industries. This can be considered as group promising materials development new health applications. The combination phosphonic acid with LDHs create hybrid properties.In this work synthesis Zn/Al lay-ered by chemical co-precipitation method (molar ration 2) grafted Diamino Dodecyl Phosphonic Acid (DDPA) via anion-exchange mechanism. samples were characterized confirmed X-ray diffraction (XRD), presence diamino dodecyl (DDPA ) was verified Elemental analysis, BET infrared spec-troscopy. Both found to showing antibacterial activ-ity. zone diameters Zn-Al- LDH 40 mm 25 for Esche-richia coli(ATCC 25922) Streptococcus (ATCC 25922)and 20 bacillus whereas same (Zn-Al-DDPA)were43 , 32 bacteria stronger activity over itself. experimental results confirm application Zn-Al-DDPA field activities may offer elucidation society.
